The Maine Educational Opportunity Center plans to host free individualized virtual sessions for adults 19 and older looking for a new career or returning to higher education.
Essentials of College Planning:
Virtual:
• Monday, Feb. 6, 9 and 10 a.m.
• Wednesday, Feb. 8, 11 a.m., noon, 6 and 7 p.m.
• Friday, Feb. 10, 9 and 10 a.m.
• Tuesday, Feb. 14, 9 and 10 a.m.
• Wednesday, Feb. 15, 11 a.m., noon, 6 and 7 p.m.
• Thursday, Feb. 16, 9 and 10 a.m.
• Friday, Feb. 17, 9 and 10 a.m.
In person, University of Maine at Augusta Lewiston Center, 51 Westminster St. in Lewiston:
• Monday, Feb. 13, 9, 10 and 11 a.m. and noon.
The center is funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The program helps qualified adults make the transition towards a new career and relevant educational credentials. The staff provides individualized assistance in career planning, stackable credentials, completion of FAFSA, rehabilitation of defaulted loans, and finding the appropriate funding for one’s education.
The session lasts approximately an hour. Registration is encouraged.
All services provided by MEOC are free. If these times don’t fit a schedule, contact the center to explore options. All sessions are subject to change.
