To the Editor:
The SAD #44 District Resiliency Team is excited to announce a Snowshoe and Connect Event scheduled for Feb. 12, from 1-2 p..m at Telstar. We are hoping many SAD #44 students and their family members will join us. Snowshoeing experience is not necessary, and snowshoes will be provided. We will be exploring the Telstar trails while enjoying the fresh air, great company, and hot chocolate. All participants will have a chance to look at our ideas chart for future events, mark the ones they like, or add others they would like to see.
The Resiliency Team is made up of teachers and administrators from across the SAD #44 district. We are passionate about supporting mental wellness and bringing resiliency ideas, programs, and best practices to students, staff, and families. This team has been at the forefront of bringing professional development to district staff that focuses on understanding students’ emotional traumas, needs, and how to assist students by making strong connections for the past five years.
Mark your calendars and plan to join us. We are looking forward to seeing you!
