Petunia

Petunia’s Log, Stardate 2022.0810: I have been scooped up by aliens and brought to a starbase of some sort. I’m not sure what to make of it. I believe I am safe and they are keeping me well-fed. They have poked me with needles; no doubt they recognize that I am a superior being and are trying to figure out how they can be more like me. They may study me if they wish. I shall eat their food and spend my time entertaining myself with play and I shall try to make friends.

Petunia’s Log, Stardate 2022.1010: I have been held prisoner in this strange land for a couple of months. There are many others of my kind here. I dislike them. There are others that make a barking noise. I dislike them, too. I have been studying the beings in charge of this base. They are beings who walk on two legs and seem to be here primarily to feed me and clean up my waste products. I enjoy them and their simple brains. I have been able to mind-meld with them. I have taught them to give massages and tell me how beautiful I am.

Petunia’s Log, Stardate 2023.0209: 183 days being held by my captors. I try to make the most out of it. I run, I jump, I play. I accept their massages and food. I would very much like to get off this starship. So far my attempts at teleportation have failed. I have seen others of my kind leave with different two-leggers. They seem very happy. I have searched for their transporter room to no avail. I run through the corridors and speak to all the two-leggers I meet. I would like very much like one or more of them to take me to their own home planet. I will then mind meld with them and teach them to do my bidding. I must make it so.

If you’d like to mind-meld with friendly and lively Petunia, meet her at RPC during our open hours or by appointment on other days. Fill out the application at responsiblepetcare.org/cats to get preapproved.
