We only had a handful of correct answers for last week’s Mystery Photo on Congress Street in Rumford. The ornate lion’s head is one of several on the facade of the former Rumford Falls Power Company Building in downtown Rumford. The building is currently occupied by Tri-County Mental Health Services. The building was built in 1906 by Frank Bunker Gilbreth at the same time as the Strathglass building, which is a block away and across the street, that became the Hotel Harris. In a random drawing from all the correct entries, Barbara Belanger of Rumford was picked as the winner of a $20 Hannaford Supermarket gift card.
