Judith “Judy” (Davis) Bubier

LEWISTON – It is with great sadness that the family of Judith “Judy” (Davis) Bubier of Lewiston share of her passing on Feb. 7, 2023, after suffering a series of strokes.

Judy was born in Lewiston to Raymond Davis and Katherine Draper on April 11, 1945. She was raised in Greene by her mother and grandmother, Mary Bardeen, who she lovingly referred to as “Ma”. Judy attended schools in Greene and Monmouth. Though Judy spent her life caring for others and their homes and families, she was most proud of her own. She married Thomas Bubier and for 22 years they raised their three children together in Auburn.

More than anything, Judy loved spending time with her family and close friends, and was always excited for her next adventure. She spent many hours traveling with her father, children and grandchildren and even great-grandsons. Some of those adventures with her father and children never left the family farm in Greene.

One of her favorite joys in life was cooking for those she loved. Whether it be for her family, friends, or strangers, Judy loved to keep everybody fed. She loved to sew and spend time in the great outdoors kayaking, snowmobiling, skiing, camping, fishing, biking, hiking, and just enjoying life and events all over Maine and beyond. She loved attending her grandchildren and great-grandsons’ school and sporting events, and always delivered them her special baked treats. She was a proud Memie.

In her retirement years, she spent many hours going on adventures with her close friends, many of whom she’s known for over 50 years while others she knew only a shorter period of time but nonetheless had a huge impact on her life. Judy lived life to the fullest and always had a vibrant, beautiful smile.

She was predeceased by her parents; half-brother, Sandy Draper; and her aunt, Anita Davis, who was like a sister to her.

She is survived and deeply missed by her three children, Lori Marschall (John Sullivan) of Florida, her favorite son, Darcey Bubier (Jenn Cormier) of Greene, and Trena MacKenzie (Rick) of Minot; her grandchildren, Nicholas Harrington (Jessica), Ashlee Vandiver (Wesley), Krista McGivaren (Booth), Kailey Bubier (Lauren Simpson), Ross MacKenzie (Staci), Kelsea Marschall (Leo Batista), and Kobe Bubier (Hannah Iler). She is also survived by her six great-grandsons, Tucker and Easton Harrington, Coleton, Preston and Emmitt Vandiver, and Gunner McGivaren; as well as her uncle, Teddy Terenzoni; in-laws Scram and Margie Bubier; half-sister and many nieces and nephews. Her most beloved cat, Henry, also survives her.

The family will share information for graveside services and celebration of life later this spring.
