Estelle C. Loubier

AUBURN — Estelle C. Loubier, age 100, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2023 at Bolster heights Nursing Home after a long illness with her family at her side.

She was born in Fairfield, the daughter of the late Joseph and Yvonne (Trahan) Couillard.

Estelle attended schools in Auburn, then worked in the shoe industry. On June 14, 1941 she married the love of her life Joseph W. Loubier, who died in 1995 after 54 years of marriage.

She lived and raised her family in both Lewiston and Sabattus. In married life she was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and caring for her family and home.

She is survived by a daughter, Therese Loubier and her companion Ken Pease of Lewiston, a son, Joseph Loubier and his wife Bonnie of Litchfield, three grandchildren; Heather of Colorado, Tim of Gray and Maurice of Hawaii, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by and infant daughter, Judy-Anne, two sisters; Rev-Sister Jeanne Couillard and Georgette Pelletier, two brothers; Roland and Ralph Couillard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Burial to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday Feb. 16 from 2-4 p.m. at Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway Lewiston, ME 04240. 784-4023
