The Lewiston-Auburn Hebrew Relief Association will hold their ninth annual ball at the Mystic April 4.
50 Years Ago: 1973
Edward Little, Lewiston, and St. Dom’s Regional High Schools will be competing in the University of Maine High School Debate Tournament this Friday and Saturday at the University. Other area schools registered to compete are Winthrop High and Cony High, Augusta.
25 Years Ago: 1998
The continuing exhibit of portraits, photos and quotes of black history in Maine used in making, the documentary film “Anchor of the Soul,” will be featured; “Cartographic Creation of New England,” featuring maps dating from 1493-1956, will be featured, both continuously; and “Martha Oatway: New Paintings,” will be featured through Feb. 20, all at USM Portland Campus Center. Gallery hours on Monday-Friday, 7 am to 10 pm. and Saturday and Sunday, 10 am to 7 pm.
