Antonio Rocha, well known mime and storyteller was the special attraction at Walton Elementary School recently when the Walton PTO sponsored a Community Night for parents and students at the school.
A native of Brazil, Rocha now resides in Yarmouth and has done residencies in local schools and performed in many festivals as well. He offered an hour of mime and storytelling including a hilarious routine featuring a pesky fly at a cafe and a personal true story reflecting life in Brazil.
The newly formed PTO hosted an ice cream social event after the entertainment to give students and parents a chance to mingle. Shop ’N Save of Auburn, Walton’s business school partner, donated the ice cream, toppings and dinnerware.
This was the very first event, sponsored by the Walton PTO, and the large turnout was gratifying.
