Raymond Gary Rivard

BRUNSWICK – Raymond Gary Rivard, 77, died Saturday Feb. 11, 2023 at the Clover Manor in Auburn. He was a resident of Brunswick.

Born in Rumford, on May 7, 1945 he was a son of Roland and Phyllis (Small) Rivard. Gary was a graduate of Stephens High School and Thomas College. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1967 as a PC3 He worked in sales at Hillyard of St Joseph Michigan and owner and operated Eagle Abstracts. Gary loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.

He was married in Rumford Point, on August 2, 1969 to Margaret Brown who survives of Brunswick. Other survivors include his daughters, Danielle Murphy and fiancé Kevin Buckmore of Poland and Peggy Anderson and husband John of Freeport, grandchildren, Lauren Bowers and husband Grant and Gabriella Anderson, great-grandchildren Nora Bowers and Sophia Bowers, sisters, Patricia Walchli and husband John of Bowdoinham, and Peggy Walsh and husband David of Raymond. A brother, Richard Rivard who recently passed on February 13, 2023.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday February 25, 2023 at the Freeport Masonic Lodge, 33 Mallett Drive in Freeport. Interment in the spring will be in the Lincoln Plantation Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home 3 Franklin St Rumford, ME
