God — whoops, the “king” — has spoken. Anyone who doesn’t know who he is has obviously either been out of the world or is both blind and deaf.

Yes, the king is our one-term 45th president, who intends to run again in 2024. My first thought was, where do I run to, and my second, you “gotta” do something.

There are any number of reasons why this person should have never been president, and double that number for why electing him again could be — no, would be — a total disaster for our country.

I could take this opportunity to elaborate on all the reasons he never should have been president, plus all the new events that have occurred since, but I will leave the part alone and list one — yes, one — reason we must not vote for him or even President Joe Biden.

The reason is age.

It is my opinion that no president — in fact, no elected federal official — should serve beyond the age of 75. My reason is obvious: mental and physical fatigue or worse, due to aging of the mind and body.

I fear we may have some semblance of this problem with our current president, who I urge not to seek a second term, and further hope the Republicans nominate and confirm a different candidate via the convention process.

Through 45 presidents the average age at end of service is 60.98 years. Let’s continue to stay safe and hope Congress will someday mandate 75 years as the law of our land.
