(from a letter to the editor) This letter goes out to all the people who live in the Leeds and Greene area. The Delmarva Power Co. line forces of the North East District worked in these two towns following the ice storm of Jan. 13-23 and would like to express their thanks to these people. The generosity and friendliness of the people in these areas were more than overwhelming. After being without power for up to two weeks for some, and longer for others, they were still friendly, helpful and generous. in particular a couple named Barbara and Allen on North Road who took us in and fed us a hot lunch, the Bates on the Line Road, the lady on Dan Jennings Road who had us in for coffee and homemade muffins, and many more who went out of their way to bring us coffee and snacks, or just to blow their horns, smile and wave. This shows the fortitude and friendly demeanor of the people who live in these two areas. Their response to our work was greatly appreciated. Once again, it was a pleasure working in your area. and thank you! Delmarva Power Co., North East District Line Forces, North East, Md.
