Lisa A. (Cummings) Minkowsky

AUBURN – Beloved wife, stepmother, devoted daughter, and truest of friends, Lisa A. (Cummings) Minkowsky, 62, passed from this world on Feb. 11, 2023.

Though Lisa left us too soon, we will all remember the warmth of her smile, the twinkle in her eyes and the sound of her laughter. We were all fortunate to live, laugh, and love with Lisa. Lisa was born on July 23, 1960, in Lewiston, to Stuart and Joan (Whitten) Cummings.

Lisa attended school in Norway where she made lifelong friendships. At Oxford Hills High School, she participated in many school activities and excelled in gymnastics. Lisa graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in horticulture. Upon graduation, Lisa moved to Seattle, Wash., where she co-owned and managed a flower shop in Everett, Wa.

Lisa returned to Maine in 1997 and met the love of her life, Mike Minkowsky and his beautiful daughter, Candace. They were married on June 24, 2000, and resided in Monmouth where they raised Candace and enjoyed many family adventures.

Lisa was an avid golfer and natural athlete making her an impressive opponent. Professionally, Lisa was a valued colleague at Advanced Dentistry and Windsor Dental. Lisa cherished summers at the family camp on Norway Lake. The consummate hostess, Lisa was the life of the party with her quick wit and wicked sense of humor. She remembered loved ones’ birthdays, special occasions, and always kept in touch. Her thoughtfulness was boundless and extended to her animals. She treasured her three goats, dog Riley, cat Oscar, and the many fur babies that she loved over the years.

Lisa was predeceased by her father Stuart and brother Gary.

She is survived by her husband Mike, step-daughter Candace and her fiancé CJ Jipson, mother Joan, brother Brad and wife Cindy, cousins Brian Partridge and Bob Partridge, mother-in-law Muriel Minkowsky and family, dearly loved nieces, nephews, and many friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Androscoggin Hospice House for their compassionate care.

A Celebration of life Service honoring Lisa’s life will be held on Sunday, February 26 at 4 p.m., at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023, from 1-4 p.m., prior to the Celebration of Life Service at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston, Maine 784-4023.
