MARS HILL — For the second day in a row at the Class B Alpine state championships, Mountain Valley’s Boulanger sisters finished first and second.

Lily Boulanger won the giant slalom race Tuesday at BigRock with a time of 1:28.01, beating out her older sister Jaden, who had a time of 1:28.11. On Monday, Jaden won the Slalom race and Lily came in second.

Anya Monson of Cape Elizabeth (1:29.30) finished third in Tuesday’s giant slalom race.

Rangeley’s Breezy Quimby (1:32.08) and Ava Beaudin of Gray-New Gloucester (1:32.54) finished sixth and seventh, respectively. Amelia Stokes of Rangeley (1:34.25) rounded out the area skiers who finished in the top ten with her 10th-place finish.

Jocelyn Nivus of Telstar finished 15th and Lilly Day of Mt. Abram finished 16th.

Fort Kent won girls team Alpine championship with a score of 1,486, beating out Lake Region, which had a score of 1,422. Maranacook came in third, finishing nine points back of Lake Region. Mountain Valley (1,323) came in seventh place and Rangeley (1,257) had a ninth-place finish.

Gray-New Gloucester finished in 12th, followed by Monmouth Academy in 13th, Spruce Mountain in 14th place and Mt. Abram in 15th. Telstar came in 17th.

In the boys giant slalom competition, Cape Elizabeth’s Logan Schwartz won with a time of 1:20.77. He also won the slalom race on Monday. Max Bois (1:20.77) of Fort Kent was the runner-up and Keegan Lathrop (1:25.82) of Cape Elizabeth was third.

Mt. Abram’s Charlie Pye’s (1:26.72) was just outside the top three, with a fourth-place finish. Mountain Valley’s Joel Tardiff (1:31.38) was 15th and teammate Nate Gallant (1:33.02) finished 18th. Winthrop’s Jaxon August (1:36.53) came in 23rd.

Caribou won the boys team title with a score of 1,519 and Cape Elizabeth (1,479) came in second and Fort Kent (1,476) in third. Mt. Abram finished in seventh, Gray-New Gloucester came in ninth and Mountain Valley in 11th. Winthrop came in 13th, Rangeley in 16th and Poland had an 18th-place finish.
