Keith R. Bonenfant

ALBANY – Affectionally known as “Keith” by his family and friends, Keith R. Bonenfant was born on Oct. 20, 1967, in Bangor, Maine, to Richard Bonenfant and Carmen (Carpentier) White.

After graduating from Edward Little High School In Auburn, he relocated to the Capital district in Albany where he became known as a skilled maintenance man and devoted father.

He passed away on Nov. 9, 2022, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany from a long illness.

After graduating from high school, Keith relocated to the Capital district where he attended the Glenmont Job Center in order to attain practical construction skills. Shortly after graduating from the center, he took a course in welding at Hudson Valley Community College where he earned a New York State welding license. These skills aided him in gaining employment in a number of commercial companies in Troy, Mechanicville, Clifton Park, Albany and other locations in the Capital region.

Keith participated in yearly camping trips with his extended family where their young children went on camping, fishing, canoeing, swimming, in various locations in the northeast, including, the Maine coast, the New York Adirondack Mountains, and eastern Massachusetts camping sites. These yearly adventures often included chess tournaments where the winner was awarded a yearly trophy.

Lastly, he was known as an affectionate father, a great story teller, a talented artist, for his good humor, and generosity to others in need. Keith is survived three children; Aimee, Tiffani, and Logan; two brothers, Erik and Michael; and three grandchildren.
