Myron Eames of Lewiston was recently honored at a business meeting and reception upon his retirement after 21 years as financial secretary of the Court Street Baptist Church of Auburn.
A giant card with the individual well-wishes of the members was presented to him and his wife, Carolyn Eames, according to a news release from Doug Hodgkins at the church.

Flo Annear, moderator of the church’s business meeting, said Eames “has been serving the Lord at the church using his diligence, loyalty, and vision. He has used his gifts through three pastors, two interim pastors, four treasurers, three assistants, and he has survived.”
It was noted that he smoothly transitioned in this volunteer position from paper-and-pencil record keeping to the sophistication of computers.
Eames has retired from managerial positions at Lewiston Public Works and at the Lewiston-Auburn Water Pollution Control Authority.
