AUBURN – Shirley Ann Newton, 75, of Oxford, passed away on Feb. 18, 2023, at Hospice House in Auburn. She was born on March 22, 1947, in Lewiston.

Shirley married Clarence F. Newton on Sept. 25, 1971, and together they have two children, Tammy and David Newton. Shirley worked at Pioneer Plastics, Wilner’s, Cornwall, all before owning and operating Button & Bows Daycare.

Shirley enjoyed going camping, knitting and crocheting, Stampin Up card making, and Razzle Dazzle line dancers.

She was predeceased by her parents Lois and Edwin Morrill of Bethel and sister Eva Taylor of Wisconsin.

She is survived by her husband Clarence Newton of Oxford, daughter Tammy Morris and husband Christopher and daughter Kaitlyn of Poland, son David and wife Jessica and daughters and Makayla of Ocala, Florida, and daughter Erin of Oxford.
