100 Years Ago: 1923

Fourteen of the Boy Scouts of Canton enjoyed a hike to the top of Thorn Mountain Saturday and ate their dinner in the open. They were accompanied by the county executive, Harold Perham and Maynard C. Watts, principal of the high school. The two hours spent on the tiptop were pleasantly passed, playing games and participating in contests.

50 Years Ago: 1973

25 Years Ago: 1998

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) will meet from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at the East Auburn Baptist Church. The meeting will include a speaker and a craft. The first visit is free. After that a $2 donation is asked to cover costs.
