OXFORD — On Monday, Feb. 27, Officers from the Oxford Police Department were advised of a theft of tools involving a Joshua Lovell of Oxford, according to Oxford Police Detective Brandon J. Correia.
Officers received credible information with regard to Lovell’s current whereabouts. Lovell had been avoiding law enforcement contact and had an active arrest warrant for felony bail violation, according to Correia.
Lovell was on bail for previous charges of Aggravated Trafficking of Schedule Drugs (Class A), Unlawful
Possession of Cocaine (Class C), Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class D), and Violating
Conditions of Release (Class E).
Correia said Oxford PD executed a search warrant at the address in which they believed Lovell was residing, where he was located and arrested on the warrant and new charges of Theft (Class C) and Violating Conditions of Release (Class E). The stolen tools were recovered at the address and returned to their owner. Lovell was transported to the Oxford County Jail without incident.
