Jacqueline B. Madore

BRISTOL, Conn. – Jacqueline B. Madore (Bureau) wife of the late Lucien R. Madore passed away peacefully in her sleep on Feb. 4, 2023. Born in Waterville, Maine on Dec. 13, 1928, to the late Joseph and Helena (Langlois) Bureau. She was one of seven children.

In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her brothers: Father Germaine Bureau, Normand Bureau, sisters: Marielle LeBlanc, Jeannine Carini, Angeline Pellerin and Madeleine Cote.

She is survived by her daughters: Patricia Madore and husband Richard Hock; Sandra Madore and husband Reno Gagnon; and daughter Nancy Schroeder; her sons: Paul and his wife Margaret Madore and Richard and his wife Natalie Madore; her grandchildren: Michael Rhault, Timothy Madore and Emily Sumner, Shary Fiorenza, Alison Schroeder, Jessica Khoury; and her great grandchildren.

After graduating from Bates College, she and her husband moved to Bristol, Conn., where they raised five children.

Her passion for skating led her to teach all her children to ice skate. She continued to enjoy skating by watching it on TV and ice shows as a spectator. After retiring, Jackie and Lou enjoyed traveling to other countries. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, walking, garage sales, and volunteering at the senior center.

She retired from the Bristol Teachers Federal Credit Union and was member of St. Matthews Church. There were no calling hours. Burial will be private for the immediate family.

The family would like to graciously thank the staff at Mapleview Health and Rehabilitation Center of Rocky Hill, Conn., for their Kindness, Care and Compassion.
