The Ladies Shrine club committee has sent out vivid looking programs, announcing their “Black and White Party” to be given at Kora Temple, Friday evening March 23d. Decorations will be carried out in black and white. As to costume, black gowns, white gowns and black and white gowns will predominate and the men will follow “suit.” The affair is to be informal and apparel a secondary consideration. The main aim of the ladies will be to give everybody present the time of his and her life. Drouin’s orchestra will play. There will be special features, favors and entertainment for everybody.

(photo from Journal) The above car driven by Robert S. Latlippe, 19, East Hardscrabble Road, Auburn, was totally demolished around 7:30 this morning when it hit the side of the Edward Little High School gym. Police said the driver, and his wife, Dorothy, 17, both of whom are EL students, escaped with only minor injuries, apparently. Police said the engine’s throttle stuck and the auto went out of control, hurdling approximately 36 feet through the air before smashing into the gym.
