LIVERMORE — Spruce Mountain Primary School kindergarten registration and screening is scheduled to be held by appointment only Thursday and Friday, April 6 and 7, at the 107 Gibbs Mill Road school. Appointments will be scheduled between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

A child must be 5 years old on or before Oct. 15 to attend school in the fall. Current Regional School Unit 73 pre-K program students will be tested while at school, there is no need to make a separate appointment for them to come in.

It is necessary to have the child’s original birth certificate, current immunization records, and proof of residency (electric bill, rental agreement or tax bill) at the time of registration. Students cannot be registered without the necessary documents.

The immunization record can be obtained from the child’s physician. A certified copy of the child’s birth certificate can be obtained at the town office where the child was residing at the time of birth.

The children must attend the kindergarten registration, since they will meet teachers, see the classrooms, and take part in several academic screenings. These screenings help determine a child’s placement in the kindergarten programs, according to a news release from the school.

To schedule an appointment, call 207-897-3355.
