AUBURN — Marc Gosselin, executive director for Sports Tourism and Community Partnerships for the city of Auburn, has been named to the Maine Sports Commission board of directors.
Gosselin, who is also a part-time and adjunct professor at Central Maine Community College, has a wealth of experience in sports events management. Before joining the city staff, he served as head of corporate partnerships for the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Columbus, Ohio-based NHL team, and vice president of corporate partnerships for the Maine Red Claws, which are now the Maine Celtics.“Marc’s lengthy experience in sports at all levels, appreciation and knowledge of sports tourism and recreation make him a valuable asset to furthering the mission of attracting more events to Maine’s host communities,” Sheila Brennan Nee, director of the Maine Sports Commission, said.
Gosselin will serve a two-year term on the board.
