Disney’s “Frozen Jr.” is set to be staged at Buckfield Jr./Sr. High School at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 30, through Saturday, April 1, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 2.

Performances will be held in the Buckfield Theatre in the Woods at the 160 Morrill St. school.

The 60-minute musical is based on the 2013 Disney film and the 2018 Broadway adaptation. The cast is joined by actors from Hartford Sumner Elementary. The show has a cast of 24 students led by Maria and Zack Reinstein.

“We are excited to be bringing a musical production once again to this supportive community of theatergoers. The play is the first post-COVID musical here at BJSHS and my first musical production as director here,” drama director Maria Reinstein said in a news release from the school.

Adapted for young performers, this musical includes Frozen songs such as “Love is an Open Door,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?,” and “Let It Go,” as well as new songs from the Broadway production.

Tickets costs $15 for adults and $8 for students.
