Nat King Cole’s hit songs will take center stage during the Portland Symphony Orchestra’s POPS! concerts at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, at Merrill Auditorium in Portland. Attendees will be treated to songs including “Unforgettable,” “Always on My Mind,” “Route 66,” and many more, sung by guest artist Denzal Sinclaire, under the direction of PSO Director of Music Eckart Preu.
Sinclaire is one of Canada’s most popular jazz vocalists and is ranked among the finest jazz singers of his generation. He is a graduate of McGill University’s Jazz Performance program, Montreal, Canada, and is a two-time Juno Award (Canada’s Grammy Award) nominee and a recipient of the 2004 National Jazz Award for “Best Album.”
