NORWAY — Last Friday night, singer and songwriter Caroline Rose took to the stage at Wolf and Harp in Norway, for an unforgettable St. Patrick’s Day performance. The concert benefited the Norway Opera House (NOH), which is raising funds for renovating and repairing the historic building.

Rose’s electrifying set had the audience on their feet from start to finish. Her unique indie rock and pop blend kept the energy high throughout the night. Concert attendees were treated to wood-fired pizza from OxBow Beer Garden, local brews, and desserts during the first NOH fundraising concerts of the year.

“The concert was a huge success,” said Matt Delameter, President of the Norway Opera House’s Board of Directors. “We were so lucky to have the incredible Caroline Rose perform with her band at our amazing sold-out fundraising event! They rocked the house and gave us all an incredible glimpse of what can be in the future performance space of the Norway Opera House.”

The structure, listed on the national registry of historic buildings, has been a cultural landmark in Norway for over a century since citizens rebuilt it in 1894 after the great fire that devastated much of Norway’s downtown. It has been a steadfast symbol of hope and resolve, standing tall at the center of Main Street. The building served as the center for commerce, entertainment, and community. It was a site for graduations, dances, theater, and traveling shows.
