AUBURN – Jeannette R. Bergeron. 90, a resident of Minot Avenue, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday March 28, 2023, at Clover Nursing home.

She was born in Lewiston, May 30, 1932, the daughter of Adelard and Florida (Lanois) Pelletier. Her step father was Paul Dufour who together with Jeannette’s mother raised her after her father’s early passing.

Jeannette worked in the local shoe industry until the passing of her sister who left seven surviving children. Jeannette dedicated her life to taking care of them, preventing them from going into foster care after her sister’s passing.

Surviving are her three caregivers, Claire, Dot, and Rolande.

A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Jeannette’s life will be celebrated 1 p.m., Monday April 3, at Holy Family Church. Committal prayers will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to visit Sunday, April 2, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston.
