James M. Thomas
OXFORD – James M. Thomas, 81, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday March 28, 2023, at Stephen Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born August 4, 1941 in Boston, a son of the late Gerishome and Eleonor (Oen) Thomas. He graduated high school and then joined the United States Navy proudly serving his country.
He worked as a manager at Procter and Gamble in Auburn, before his retirement.
He married Monique (Gagne) Aug. 1, 1998, and they were married 24 years.
He was a dedicated family man who’s greatest joy was the ocean, fishing, and his wife.
He was predeceased by his parents, Gerishome and Eleonor Thomas.
He is survived by his loving wife Monique Thomas, his children Michelle Woodard, Gloria Gilbert, Pamela Hurd Fidler, Rebecca Stiglitz and Alan Hurd along with his siblings Susanne Thomas and Gerard Thomas as well as many additional family members and friends.
