Dusty

Dusty is an adorable 8-year-old, long-haired Chihuahua who is looking for the right home for his needs. Dusty is deaf, so he will need some special considerations to keep him safe and happy. Dusty has lived with one person his whole life. She had to move and could no longer keep him.

Weighing in at about 10 pounds, Dusty is loving and fun, and funny. He gives kisses and very much wants another special person in his life to cuddle with. He could live with another small dog, but large or very active dogs could be too much for him.

He was not a fan of the cats he met in the past. Dusty will need an adult-only home. He likes a calm life and a routine where he knows what to expect. He doesn’t do well with hustle and bustle or busy situations. He likes some short walks but would especially like a little, fenced yard to explore safely. You could not let him out loose in an unfenced area as he cannot hear anything.

Dusty has been housetrained but will probably need a refresher after spending time in the shelter where dogs can’t always go out when they need to. If you have a quiet, calm home and lots of love to give, Dusty could be the perfect match.

If you are interested in meeting Dusty, fill out our application at www.responsiblepetcare.org/dogs, or fill out an application in person at the shelter. An approved
application is required prior to setting up a meeting.
