LEWISTON – Robert “Vel” Gravel passed away peacefully April 10, 2023. Bob was born in Lewiston, the son of Eva and Henry Gravel on Sept. 24, 1949. He worked at Jones and Vining, as a PCA and CNA. He loved gambling, feeding his squirrels and spending time with his friends: Matt, Todd and Greg. He will be remembered as being feisty and very particular.

Bob is survived by his siblings, Maurice, Gerard and wife Pat, Ronald and wife Adrienne, Jeanne Baril, Terri Suminski and Diane Beaulieu. Bob is survived by many nieces, nephews, including his special niece Anya.

He was predeceased by siblings, Roger, Roland, Anita Cusson, Lucille Hartzell, and Irene Brown.
