Helen M. Fairbrother

LEWISTON – Helen M. Fairbrother, 78, of Lewiston, died April 10, 2023, in Auburn following a short illness.

She was born in Turner, Oct. 29, 1944, a daughter of Henry and Madeline Snow Kelly. Helen got her education and her GED from Mechanic Falls schools.

She was a homemaker and was part of the Colfax Rebekah Lodge #27. Helen enjoyed puzzles and knitting.

She was predeceased by her parents; two husbands, John Willie and Bruce Fairbrother; children, Scott Thurston and Rose Mortimer; and sisters Eleanor Everett and Marilyn Holt.

Survivors include sons Ray Thurston Jr., Stanley Mortimer, Steven Mortimer, John Willie, daughters Iris George, Grace Mortimer and Marilyn Willie; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 6 at 10 a.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanic Falls. Online condolences may be sent to http://www.funeralalternatives.net.
