Lionel “Lee” R. Audet

LEWISTON – Lionel “Lee” R. Audet, 98, of 12 O’Connell St. in Lewiston, died Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Hospice House in Auburn with his family by his side.

Born in Lewiston, Maine, on May 6, 1924, on Hillcrest Street, Lionel attended Holy Cross School and Lewiston High School. Growing up Lionel worked with his father on their land to grow food for the family where he attained his lifelong love of gardening.

Lionel’s greatest love was his family. He was always ready to listen, advise and help in any way he could. His strength, humor, courage and acceptance will always be a part of all his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. He was a lifelong member of Holy Cross parish and a member Knights of Columbus council 106.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 29, from 9-11 a.m., at The Fortin Group Funeral Home in Lewiston, followed by a Liturgy of the Word at 11 a.m.
