Katie Elizabeth Snyder

AUBURN – Katie Elizabeth Snyder, 40 years old of Greene, Maine walked to meet God on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at CMMC. Her family was by her side, holding her close as she transcended to a place where pure beauty grows.

I am her sister, Elizabeth, and I have the honor of writing my beautiful Sissy’s obituary.

On Feb. 5, 1983, from Easton Hospital in Easton Pennsylvania, Katie came to this world, to her loving parents, Pamela E. Snyder and Robert T. Snyder. They taught her to fly and raised her with love. With crystal blue eyes, dark brown hair, and freckles, Katie was their first blessing.

Katie was the eldest of her siblings and is survived by her very first best friend, biggest fan, and best secret keeper, Elizabeth A. Snyder 37, married to Janelle L. Martel.

“I will wait for you on the bay window, behind the curtain, where I will keep you, forever.”

She is also survived by her younger brother, Christian R. Snyder, 36. Katie called Christian her “Little Buddy” and they have a true bond that time and space will never break. For Katie and Christian, their courageous love, is timeless.

We are a trio of siblings whose spirits are connected, forever.

She is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces.

Katie’s truest dream was to be a Mother and her legacy will live on through the hearts and minds of her two magical children, Sophie, 12, and Bentley, 6. You are her miracles and proudest accomplishments.

Katie completed college-level schooling and was an administrative assistant for most of her work life.

Katie’s talent was inside of her toes. She was a brilliant ballerina and when she danced, the world stopped.

Although her life ended far too soon, her light will shine like a beacon. Let us honor her life, in all that we do.
