GREENWOOD — Manager Andrew Raymond of Northern Roots, 9 Bird Hill Road said they are accepting money and supplies for Mike Jewell and his daughter Meagan, 21, who lost their Greenwood home in a fire.

Already someone has offered a brand new shower and toilet. “We have a place to store those kinds of donations as well…we are trying to put a house together in any way we can,” said Raymond.

The Jewells will rebuild the house which is not salvageable.

Northern Roots owners, Nick and Janet Bartlett, along with Raymond, have not finalized other fundraiser ideas.

A neighbor woke Mike Jewell from a nap on Sat. April 22, to tell him his house was on fire. He escaped unharmed with dog, Deja. His daughter, Meagan, 21, was not at home.
