Blane Robert Adkins
VENUS, Texas – Blane Adkins passed away peacefully on Feb. 6, 2023, at the age of 66 at his home in Venus, Texas, surrounded by his three children.
Blane was born March 10, 1956, to Robert and Leona Adkins in Lewiston Maine. He graduated from Edward Little High School in 1975. He had residence in Maine until 1989 and then moved to Texas were he lived until his death. His working career included driving an 18-wheeler for a moving company cross country, restaurant business in Lewiston with his father, cook at a state prison in Palestine, Texas, SubZero Wolf, and Plano Super Bowl in the Dallas area.
Blane is survived by three children, Lyssa Lee Adkins Wyman, Ilse Brianna Adkins, Anastacia May Adkins Ingram, one grandchild, one great grandchild, brothers, Allan and Michael Adkins, sister-in-law Linda Adkins. Alone with many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Bernadette Rita Adkins (Bernie) and his parents Robert and Leona Adkins.
Blane loved sports but his passion in life was bowling. He was a member of the PBA and traveled all over the country to participate in tournaments.
A service was held at Plano Super Bowl on March 10, to celebrate his life. His cremated ashes were transported to Auburn, Maine where he was buried at Gracelawn Memorial Park next to his parents.
