Beyond Reason, the renowned pop-rock blues band, will perform a fundraiser concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, in the Concert Hall of the First Universalist Church of Norway.

Beyond Reason performs a broad range of pop, rock and blues – including original compositions from their five studio albums and classics from the golden eras of rock and roll. Strong harmonies, textured melodies and a tight rhythm section fuel the group’s dynamic live performances.

The band was formed in 1992 by guitarist Greg Kidd and lead vocalist Steve Leighton. Along with Kidd and Leighton, the southern Maine-based band’s lineup features Steve Mead on bass and vocals, Tom Coolidge on keyboards and vocals and Bruce Wescott on drums and vocals.

They have opened for such influential artists as Lowen & Navarro and Savoy Brown, as well as performing at many fundraisers for organizations including the Maine Breast Cancer Coalition, the Peabody House, and the Ryan White Foundation. Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the First Universalist Church and aid in the maintenance of its historic 200-year-old building.

Admission will be $10. Tickets are available at the door or at The Tribune at 430 Main St., Norway. The First Universalist Church of Norway is located at 479 Main St., Norway.
