Lawrence Joe Cameron

DELAND, Fla. – Lawrence (Joe) Cameron, 93, passed away on Dec. 30, 2022. Joe was born on Nov. 16, 1929 in Rumford, the son of Wilfred and Prudence Cameron.

In 1950, he married Myrtie Clark. They had two children, Chandra and Rodney. Together, they shared 50 years together until Myrtie’s death in 2000.

He and Myrtie started Cameron Tire in Auburn in 1983. They worked together until retiring to Florida in 1992.

Joe married Yolande (Talbert) in 2001. He was a huge Red Sox and Patriots fan and was also an avid bowler.

Joe was predeceased by his daughter Chandra, and his first wife Myrtie. He is survived by his wife Yolande; son Rodney and wife Berthe; grandchildren Christopher Girardin and Jodi Kashouh; and four great grandchildren.

He will be laid to rest at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn. Ceremony in the Chapman room on May 20 at 11 a.m.
