Cecilia Gloria Brown

AUBURN – Cecilia Gloria Brown, 85, formerly of Elmwood Drive in Lisbon, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2023, with loving family by her side at Clover Manor where she resided for the last seven years. She was born in Greene on June 3, 1937, daughter to Arthur and Marianne (Therrien) Bourget. Cecilia attended Lewiston schools and spent her career working in various shoe shops, General Electric, and the Geiger Brothers until her retirement.

In 1956, she married Lionel Morrissette and they had six beautiful daughters. Cecilia later married Donald Brown in 2006. They enjoyed life together, spending winters in Florida until his passing in 2013.

In life, Cecilia enjoyed long rides, going to the beach and working with ceramics. She also loved going out to dinner and sharing a frozen custard with her late husband Donald.

Cecilia was predeceased by her parents, her sister Rita Cecilia, and her brothers Louis and Roger.

She leaves behind her daughters Debbie Pelletier and companion Steven Danforth of Poland, Diane Godsoe and husband Peter of North Yarmouth, Denise Silvius and husband David of Greene, Doreen Ward and husband Dana of Lewiston, Donna Deschesnes and husband Michael of Leeds and Jennifer Greenwald and husband Richard of Litchfield. Cecilia also leaves behind several nieces and nephews; 12 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Fortin Group Lewiston and on Friday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by an in house Liturgy of the Word and Committal Prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery in the Small Chapel.
