Beatrice Mathieu

LEWISTON – Beatrice Mathieu, 76, of Lewiston passed away on May 11, 2023, in Auburn with her family by her side. She was born in Lewiston to parents Joseph and Alice (Lausier) Pomerleau. In 1964 she graduated from St. Dom’s High School. She then married Aug. 1, 1970, to John Mathieu.

She enjoyed playing Beano, fishing and bowling with her family, having joined the women’s bowling hall of fame in the 1980s. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandson and great-granddaughter.

She worked at the Pineland Center as an X Ray technician and then worked at DHHS until she retired.

She was predeceased by her parents, sister Irene Bosse and brother-in-law George Bosse.

Surviving are her husband John, daughters, Susan Carr and Nicole Mathieu, grandson Nicholas Levesque, great-granddaughter Zoey Levesque, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A committal service will be held on May 16, 2023 at 1:45 p.m., in the chapel at St. Peters Cemetery in Lewiston.
