The East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, 231 Rayville Road in Otisfield, has selected the Rev. Don Mayberry as its minister.
Mayberry began serving the church as of May 1. He will conduct worship services each Sunday at 10 a.m.
He had served for 20 years as pastor at First Congregational Church in South Paris before retiring in 2020.
“I had intended to be retired from pastoring a church, but after a nearly three-year break I felt moved to take on the Otisfield Church,” Mayberry said in his news release. “It is a small and warm congregation, and Judy and I are looking forward to joining them in the endeavor of simply being a church.”
During retirement, they have provided music at a number of churches around the state, and they will be adding music on occasion during Sunday services.
