Francoise J. (Poliquin) Vallee

AUBURN – Mrs. Francoise J. (Poliquin) Vallee, 81, of Lewiston, died Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Androscoggin Hospice House following a brief illness.

She was born in Bar Harbor, July 28, 1941, daughter of Joseph and Etiennette (Morin) Poliquin. She was educated in Lewiston schools, graduating from St. Dom’s in 1959, and Rivier College in 1961. She married her high school sweetheart, Paul L. Vallee, on Sept. 15, 1962.

Francoise was known for her many talents in music, cooking, writing, and designing. She flourished, however humbly, as a gifted pianist, songwriter, and vocalist.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; her daughter, Helene and husband Paul Gosselin, daughter, Catherine and husband Michael Langelier, daughter, Celeste and husband Daniel Chasse; her eight grandchildren, Chris Gosselin and wife Chelsea, Tom Gosselin and wife Rachel, Katie Gosselin and her fiancé Tyler Stockford, Alex and Joey Klemanski, Abigail Langelier, and Matthew and Christine Chasse; her four great-grandchildren, Owen, Finnley, Chase, and Reese Gosselin.

The family wishes to thank CMMC Intensive Care Unit and Androscoggin Hospice House for their excellent care.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 25, at Pinette, Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home in Lewiston from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 26, at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Lewiston, followed by committal services at St Peter’s Cemetery.
