Patricia Anna Bryant
GRAY – Patricia Anna Bryant, 92, of Gray, passed away on May 3, 2023 at Mercy Hospital. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Patricia was born in Cumberland on Oct. 13, 1930, to Archie and Retha Dunn. She grew up in Cumberland and Gray and was a graduate of Pennell Institute in Gray, class of 1948.
She married, her late husband, John L. Bryant Sr. of Portland, June 8, 1957 at St. Joseph’s Church in Portland. They raised four children in Portland, cherishing many fond memories of spending summers at Moosehead Lake. Pat and John enjoyed traveling together, their trips took them to Prince Edward Island, the White Mountains of New Hampshire and Pennsylvania.
Throughout her life she did accounting work for various businesses including Gray Oil, The Ladyslipper Florist Shop, a Portland based accounting firm and worked several years for the Gray New Gloucester School lunch program. She often did volunteer work for the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray.
Pat loved going to the theater and dinners out with friends and family. In her senior years she enjoyed traveling to Ireland, the Caribbean, Old Quebec City and New York City, N.Y. She took much pleasure in spending time with her large and loving family.
Patricia was predeceased by her husband, John L. Bryant Sr.; parents Retha and Archie Dunn; sister, Priscilla Thomas, brother-in-law, Donovan Thomas Sr.; nephew, Donovan Thomas Jr.; brother, Burchard Dunn and sister-in-law, Jean Dunn.
Patricia is survived by her brother, Lloyd Dunn, sister-in-law, Pat Dunn; her four children, Julie Bryant, Kathy and her husband David Roubo, John and his wife Debbie Bryant and Cheri Bryant; grandchildren Nick and his wife Dannielle Gozelski, Alisha and her husband Steve Holbrook, Mack and his wife Kayla Roubo, Meghan and her husband Greg Harriman, Mallory and her husband Sam Kirkendall, Patrick Bryant, Christopher and his wife Felicia Bryant, Joseph Bryant, Michael Bryant, Janelle Bryant; and 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service held at Gray Village Cemetery at 11 a.m. on May 20, Route 202, Gray. Arrangements made by Wilson Funeral Home, Gray, ME 04039.
