In the May 12 edition of the Sun Journal in the section under Food and Drink in “What’s Happening,” there was a bean supper at United Methodist Church posted. We do not start our bean suppers again until September. There is no bean supper May 20. — Steve, Auburn

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Anglican Church of the Transfiguration in Mechanic Falls is planning a Plant Sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Maisy Keene Park in the center of Mechanic Falls. We are setting up the plants from our gardens and need plant pots. If any Sun Spot readers have plant pots to spare, please drop them off at the church at 64 Elm St. in Mechanic Falls at the side door.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Broadview Memorial Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting Sunday at 1 p.m. at the cemetery at 379 East Ave. in Lewiston. Election of officers for 2023-2024 will be held.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Lewiston High School Class of 1953 will hold its 70th year class reunion at Marco’s Italian Restaurant, 32 Mollison Way in Lewiston, on Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
