Donalda “Donna” Chasse

AUBURN – Donalda “Donna” Chasse, 100 years old of 10 Oak St., Lewiston, passed away on Friday, Dec. 23, 2022 at the Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn.

Donna was born in Augusta on May 10, 1922 to Mathias and Georgianna (Turcotte) Letourneau. On June 28, 1946 she married Peter Chasse. Peter died on Sept.13, 1956.

She was employed at The Bates Manufacturing Company for 46 years and at the Health Club & Spa for 10 years.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews in Canada and Denise and Danny St. Onge, Henry and Tina Letourneau, Clarence and Irene Letourneau, Ida and Paul Levesque of Lewiston, Diane and Thomas McCarrick of New York. She is also survived by her dear friend and caretaker Mark Fye. She was predeceased by a sister, Yolande Lamontagne of Canada and a cousin, Jackie Camire of Lewiston.

She was a parishioner of Holy Family Church, Lewiston and a member of Les Dames de Ste. Anne. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and dining out with friends.

A Funeral Mass honoring Donalda’s life will be celebrated on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Committal services will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
