Zak & Doosy

Meet Zak and Doosy, they are bonded eight-month-old brothers. They are the sweetest boys who love to snuggle each other and everyone they meet. They love their toys and could easily play for hours on end. The boys came to our shelter as strays back in early November and have been battling eye issues ever since.

One of Zak’s eyes has shriveled into almost nothing, causing it to constantly water. He has been on a number of eye drops to try to fix the issue but nothing has been successful. He will need his eye wiped regularly to keep it clean.

Doosy came to us with the complete opposite, and much more severe, issue. His eye was extremely enlarged with an ulcer that was protruding out of his eye socket. He was in our care for less than 48 hours when he was taken to a vet to have his eye removed in an emergency surgery.

The boys are both absolutely thriving and are the best kittens in the world. They like other cats and have seemed to do just fine with dogs. They are eating a special food to help with some stomach issues but could potentially be slowly switched over to regular cat food. See more photos or fill out our adoption application at responsiblepetcare.org. Zak and Doosy must be adopted together.
