Vacation Bible Schools and Totus Tuus are being offered at parishes around Maine this summer.
They are a way for youths to learn about their faith, while having fun and making new friends, according to a news release from Dave Guthro, communications director, Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland.
Vacation Bible Schools
• Gray
Monday-Friday, July 17-21, 9 a.m. to noon, St. Gregory the Great Church, 24 North Raymond Road.
Theme: Marvelous Mystery of Mass
Ages: Kindergarten through grade five. Teens and adult helpers are welcome.

• Rumford
Monday-Friday, Aug. 7-11, 8:30 a.m. to noon, St. John & St. Athanasius Church, 126 Maine Ave.
Ages: Age 5 through grade six. Peer helpers in grade seven and up are also needed.

Theme: Who is My Neighbor? Learning to Love Like Jesus

Totus Tuus
Totus Tuus is a Catholic youth program for students in grades one through 12 that is dedicated to teaching the Gospel and love for the Church through catechesis, prayer, Christian witness and the sacraments. Sponsored by the Diocese of Portland’s Office of Vocations and Seminarians, Totus Tuus sessions are led by college students and seminarians.
