TURNER — The Leavitt softball team wrapped up the regular season with a 13-4 victory over Erskine Academy on Wednesday.
Lily Chabot and Logan Arsenault each drove in a pair of runs for the Hornets (11-5). Chabot also had a team-high three hits, including a triple, and Arsenault and Sam DeBlois each hit a double. DeBlois, Jordan Boulay and Sam Withee had two hits apiece.
The Hornets put the game away early, scoring four runs in the first inning, five in the third and four in the fourth.
Hailey Turcotte pitched four innings, allowing one run, to earn the win. DeBlois (two innings) and Hailey Cyr (one inning) also spent time in the circle for Leavitt.
Bryanna Barrett and Kenzie Kutnewski each hit a pair of singles for the Eagles (1-15).
GIRLS LACROSSE
HAYES SETS RECORD: Edward Little sophomore Isabel Hayes set a new school record for career points by tallying her 100th during the Red Eddies’ 13-10 setback to Lawrence on Tuesday.
BASEBALL
ERSKINE 2, LEAVITT 1: A two-run second was all the Eagles (9-7) needed to win the regular-season finale against the Hornets (8-8) in Turner.
Landen Blodgett had two hits for Erskine, which scored a pair of unearned runs in the second. Grady Hotham took a shutout into the sixth, scattering seven hits while striking out nine.
Will Keach and Luke Gladu had two hits apiece and Noah Carpenter tripled for Leavitt. Keach and Carpenter combined to allow just five hits to the Eagles.
