Anne M. LaRochelle

WELLS – Anne M. LaRochelle, 91, of Wells, died peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, with her loving family by her side following a long illness.

She was born in Houlton, Maine, on Jan. 28, 1932, the daughter of the late Stephen and Clara (McAtee) Albert and had been a resident of various locations throughout Maine.

She was a Lewiston High School graduate, class of 1950 and then went on to Madigan Nursing School where she became a Registered Nurse in 1953. She had been a nurse at Central Maine Medical Center.

Anne married Donald R. LaRochelle on Oct. 31, 1953, at St. Joseph’s Church in Lewiston.

Anne enjoyed hand quilting, sewing, taking long walks on the beach, traveling worldwide with her husband and most of all loved spending time with her six children, 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Donald R. LaRochelle of Wells; three daughters, Theresa Stanton and her husband Wayne of North Conway, N.H., Jane Avery and her husband Steve of Derry, N.H. and Patti LaRochelle of Scarborough; two sons, Gary LaRochelle of Wells, and Stephen LaRochelle and his wife Lisa of North Chelmsford, Mass.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister Jane Boland of Nashua, N.H.

She was predeceased by a son Paul LaRochelle who died on April 28, 2018.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Anne’s memory to ALS Association Attn: Northern New England Chapter, 200 Friberg Parkway Suite 1000, Westborough, MA 01581. On the Memo of the checks submitted for donations it should state “Paul LaRochelle Grant”.
