BOONE, Iowa – Sally passed away peacefully Feb. 4, 2023 in Boone, Iowa. She was born March 1, 1934 to Lola and William Holmes. She graduated from Wilton Academy. Sally was a military wife to Robert Eames, they traveled extensively from 1961 to 1979.

Sally was loved and cherished by many people, she was known for her quick wit and profound sense of humor.

She was a loving, caring mother of eight children, 19 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Susan John, Robin Harris (Sheri), Randall Harris, Ronald Harris, Judy Eames, Angela Eames, and Russell Eames (Colleen).

She was predeceased by her son, Timothy Eames, son-in-law, Tim John, daughter-in-law, Lisa Harris and son-in-law, Mike Sortino; her mother, Lola Holmes, father, William Holmes; brother, Walter Holmes, brother, Charles Holmes and sister, Susan Adams.

Sally loved spending time with her sister-in-law, Linda Stanhope and nieces and nephews.

Sally’s interests included reading, crossword puzzles, Yahtzee, girls night out, watching football and socializing. She will be forever loved and missed.

A private graveside service is being held at the convenience of the family.
