MECHANIC FALLS — Voters on Tuesday approved the proposed $3.6 million municipal budget for the 2023-2024 fiscal year.

All 30 warrant articles on the ballot passed by a good margin.

Paula Stotts was reelected to another three years on the Town Council with 124 votes. Former Councilor Ray Lavoie won the second seat as a write-in candidate with 4 votes.

Stephen Turner was elected to serve a three-year term on the Regional School Unit 16 board of directors with 70 votes, winning against Anthony Trussoni who received 60 votes.

Scott Penney ran unopposed for the Mechanic Falls Sanitary District and garnered 141 votes.
