Jacquelyn H. “Jackie” Pratt

LEWISTON – Jacquelyn H. “Jackie” Pratt, 94, a resident of Auburn, passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, June 10, 2023, at Russell Park Manor where she had resided for the past 10 days. She was born Jan. 28, 1929, in Searsport, the daughter of Charles and Inez (Buker) Sanbrook.

Jackie was a graduate of Searsport High School where she was very active in basketball, earning the nickname “Eagle Eye”. Following high school she worked as a typist in Washington, D.C., for the U.S. Government. Upon returning to Maine, she worked in the local shoe factories, as a bus driver, a cashier at Walmart and cleaning homes, retiring four years ago at the age of 90.

She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star Pine Cone Chapter 26 in Auburn, where she served as a past Worthy Matron. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, and walking along the ocean.

She is survived by her children, Lyn Hodgdon and husband Lou of Poland, Angela Berry and husband Bill Murphy of North Turner, Cory Pratt and girlfriend Carlene Arsenault of Poland, and Lorna Elifritz of New Gloucester; five grandchildren, Connor Pratt, Danny Banker and wife Jennifer, Valerie Banker, Stephan Pike and wife Stefanie and Richard Pike; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Lorna Martin of Bangor. She was predeceased by her parents, and eight siblings.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the North Turner Cemetery, 126 Howes Corner Road, Turner, Maine. Arrangements by FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine.
